Dragon & Tiger medical qigong is a 1500-year-old kinetic healing system. It consists of 7 movements that trace acupuncture pathways around the body to stir and clear stagnant chi. Benefits include improved fluid circulation, increased energy levels and stabilisation of the nervous system. It was championed in China in the 1960’s and ‘70s by Zhang Jia Hua, a female doctor of Chinese Medicine, because she saw its success in healing many chronic illnesses and conditions.

Dragon governs the lungs, which represent life force and connection to the world around us, whilst Tiger rules the liver, which governs the power to do. Therefore, regular practice of this form can boost creativity and inspiration and help guard against burnout. It is an ideal practice for women because it works so closely with the etheric field around the body, which is often accessed via an intuitive sensibility rather than a more rational linear approach.

Following the weekend, you will have a complete qigong set that you will be able to take away and practice on your own for many months or years to come.

There will be some periods of silence, group reflection and optional meditation designed to support deeper energetic cultivation. (As well as some fun!)

Vegetarian/vegan, mainly organic, meals will be provided. Most other dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Expected timing: 6pm Friday to 4.30pm Sunday

Cost: £275 pp for double room / £230 dorm.
