How can we create Deep Change? How can we empower ourselves and each other for the radical transformations called for in these times?
The weekend will bring together yoga, discussion and enquiry to look at some of the structural and cultural conditions that drive difficulty within ourselves, our communities and the world around us. We will consider how we can bring about change that is both personal and political, structural and cultural, social and spiritual.
In outdoor sessions we will visit the woodlands and swim in the river; we will explore how we relate to nature, our environments and world around us through embodiment, ritual and ceremony. We will consider how we can empower ourselves by living in alignment with the cycles of nature. We will explore how we can connect and build relationships with the human and more than human realm.
If our culture is suffering a crisis of relationship, how can renewing our sense of interconnectedness support us in a transition to a thriving reality, to a joyful and deeply connected Inter-Being?
Schedule
The retreat will take place from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd September 2019. You are welcome to arrive in the afternoon after 5pm. Please make sure you are with us in time for dinner by 7pm. We will finish on Sunday by 4pm.
Each day will include a variety of practices, workshops, discussion and enquiry, both as a group and individually, indoors and outside in nature.
A detailed schedule will be confirmed soon. Please get in touch if you would like to see a draft version in the meantime.
Food
Delicious home cooked vegan/vegetarian meals will be provided (with organic and locally sourced produce wherever possible), as well as snacks, tea and coffee and some wine with dinner. Please be sure to let us know if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements.
Contribution
We are asking for a contribution based on individual means for one of the shared sleeping options (in the region of £195-350). There are only 2 private rooms, which are priced differently. The offering covers all the costs of the weekend: food, drink, accommodation, workshop and running costs. We are a not-for-profit enterprise but would like to make this experience accessible to as many people who have a calling to join us. Please offer what you can, and if payment is a barrier to participation don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss.
