Pop Up Harvest Exhibition
Harvest is a group exhibition exploring orchards, fields, fruit, cultivation, and the traditions that mark the turning of the seasons
Artist: Monica Vitorino
Shoreham was home to visionary painter Samuel Palmer, whose celebrated work The Magic Apple Tree transformed the local countryside into a place of wonder and abundance.
Auto Amor invited artists to respond to the theme through works made on Auto Amor Boards, spanning painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and mixed media. From orchard trees heavy with fruit and intimate still lifes to cultivated fields and symbolic interpretations of abundance, Harvest considers our relationship with the land and the rewards of patience, labour, and care.
For centuries, the harvest season has provided artists with a rich source of imagery and symbolism, representing not only physical nourishment, but also ideas of renewal, and the cycles of nature.
Exhibition continues back at Auto Amor HQ: 12th Oct, 13th Oct, and 19th Oct – 3rd November.
